A tie can say a lot about a man and his style depending on the way it is worn, or if it is worn at all. Many men today struggle with the correct amount of “dress” to throw on each morning; you want enough to be taken seriously yet retain a comfortable, casual look that works in all settings. As my personal style has evolved over the years, I have found that a clean and professional casual look can do more for me than a full-blown suit-and-tie ever could. With this knowledge has come the realization that I can for the most part do away with a staple of the business suit; the tie. I’ve never quite fully embraced ties; the tightness on my neck and hassle that comes with them gives me the undesired feeling of conformity. Now that I have discovered shirt makers like Equilibrio, Thomas Dean and Bugatchi, wearing a tie with one of their beautiful dress shirts is the last thing on my mind. I feel that shirts like these give my look just the amount of professionalism I need while allowing for a comfortable, casual fit. However, should the occasion arise for me to submit myself to a tie, I have found a great selection from JZ Richards and Robert Graham along with my favorite shirts at Players Clothing Company in LoDo. At Players, they understand the perfect balance between casual and professional that every man should strive for and the brands they carry fit perfectly into my blueprint.

If you’re looking for a classic, understated chino that can handle any occasion, then look no further than Peter Millar and Hiltl at Players Clothing Company in Lodo. Peter Millar’s 100% cotton brushed twill and Hiltl’s Nano Tech cotton stain resistant technology come in traditional colors like khaki and stone or newer ones like ink. They have done wonders for my look and are the perfect pieces to a classy, business casual wardrobe that can only be found at Players Clothing. Living in Denver all my life, it often proves a difficult task to find just the right look for my laid-back business lifestyle, but clothing like these chinos are one of many reasons I frequent the 15th and Wazee clothier. I originally bought one pair, but just one week into wearing them I headed back into Players and bought all the other colors too, and added a couple fresh new shirts from popular lines Robert Graham and EQ. Beautiful and reasonably priced lines like these at Players keep me in style and in the game like never before.

Men’s Sport & Business Casual Wear

What is Business Casual?
It isn’t khaki pants and a blue oxford cloth shirt on Friday. At Players, it is a luxurious pair of Hiltl trousers, a perfect brushed cotton shirt from Scott Barber, suede waterproof Cole Haan shoes and a black cashmere car coat from Schneiders. And that’s just for starters.

Jim Harder and Scott Peterson can help you assemble a business casual wardrobe that is impressive for any occasion. Dressing appropriately for a business casual setting tells more about your sophistication, style and confidence than a corporate suit and tie ever will… but, if you must wear a tie, we carry the best from JZ Richards.
